In the context of digitalization of education, professional activity and everyday communication, screen time is becoming a significant factor affecting the functional state of the human body. This issue is especially relevant for young people, whose learning, communication, leisure and professional development are increasingly associated with the prolonged use of computers, smartphones and other electronic devices. The purpose of the article is to analyze current scientific data on the influence of screen time on the regulation of the cardiorespiratory system in young people and to identify the degree of development of this problem in Russian scientific literature. The leading approach is theoretical and analytical; it includes analysis, generalization and comparison of scientific publications. The article shows that screen time is more often considered in relation to sleep disorders, reduced physical activity, psycho-emotional stress and risk factors for non-communicable diseases, while studies focused on mechanisms of cardiorespiratory regulation remain insufficient.
