This paper presents a gemological study of ten faceted jewelry inserts of natural rubies, conducted to examine their internal characteristics. A set of diagnostically significant inclusions was identified using microscopic methods. Based on which the fact of flux heat treatment was established. Comparative analysis of some of the crystals suggested their geographical origins: Tajikistan and Vietnam. The results highlight the importance of inclusion analysis in determining the nature and origin of rubies.
