The article examines the socio-economic problem of poverty reduction in the Russian economy. Based on statistical analysis, positive trends in the main indicators of the poverty level were identified. Poverty reduction factors were systematized by the nature of their impact. The presented system of factors can become the basis for the formation of a systemic policy for reducing poverty.
