the article describes the emotional, behavioral and social levels of manifestation of the syndrome of socio-psychological maladaptation (SSPD); SSPD is the focus of attention of specialists providing psychological counseling and support to participants (veterans) The problems caused by the reassessment of the combatants of their parental and paternal role are described; the basic concepts of the psychobiographic approach in individual and family counseling are presented – its goals, objectives, range of problems to be solved, the algorithm of the consultative process.
