Examples of imaginative and scientific perception of psychic phenomena are analyzedbased on Fromm's non-productive orientations and one hundred percent corresponding images in literature. The findings show the point of synergistic action between imaginative and scientific cognition of the world, of their juxtaposition with respect to joining the strong points of image and abstract-logical thinking as well as overcoming their limitation.
