The article discusses the current issues of administrative supervision of persons released from prison in the activities of law enforcement agencies. The article analyzes the regulatory and legal aspects of the regulation of administrative supervision, its goals and objectives, as well as the problems that arise in the process of its implementation. Special attention is paid to the effectiveness of supervisory measures, the interaction of law enforcement agencies and the prevention of recidivism. The author suggests possible ways to improve the system of administrative supervision, taking into account modern realities and law enforcement practice.

The article examines the history of the institution of criminal record in the Russian state. The author analyzes historical documents, on the basis of which a conclusion is drawn about the main stages of the emergence and consolidation of the legal consequences of a criminal record in legislation.

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of recidivism. A study of recidivism based on the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and judicial practice is being conducted. It is concluded that there is an increased public danger of people committing recidivism and that the punishment for them will be increased as the main legal consequence.
