The article is dedicated to the legal regulation of land inheritance under Russian law. It analyzes the constitutional guarantees of inheritance rights, civil, land, and family law provisions, as well as the Federal Law “On State Registration of Real Estate.” Special attention is paid to the interaction between private and public law regimes of land, the role of notaries and registrars in the process of rights transfer, and the main practical issues arising from cadastral inaccuracies, encumbrances, and restrictions on certain land categories.
