2025 is the anniversary year since the creation of the UNESCO Global Network of Geoparks. It has been 10 years since the creation of a new international organization called the UNESCO Global Network of Geoparks. The main task of the organization is to preserve the geological heritage of the planet, as well as to develop communities interested in exploring the network of geoparks. This demonstrates the international recognition of the importance of integrated management of geological sites and landscapes and their conservation, as well as provides a new international status for geoparks.
