This article describes modern conditions for the development of intercultural communication, the basis of which is the formation of sociocultural competence. A brief overview of the definition of the concepts is proposed. Recommendations on the organization forms of conducting classes are given. The examples of tasks in order to form the socio-cultural competence of students at a foreign language lessons are presented.
