The article is devoted to the problem at studying the legal regulation of pre-contractual liability in the civil law of the Russian Federation. The author analyzes pre-contractual liability, examines the specifics and features of the practical application of this institution in Russia. The article examines the legal nature and conditions of pre-contractual liability, including unfair behavior of the parties at the negotiation stage, as well as the consequences of violating these conditions.
