The article examines the problem of the relationship between health, subjective well-being and personality development in modern socio-cultural conditions. Theoretical approaches to understanding the phenomena of «health» and «well-being» in psychological science are analyzed, special attention is paid to the eudaimonic tradition (C. Ryff, Aristotle) and modern research on psychological health. The article substantiates the proposition that health acts not simply as the absence of disease, but as a resource ensuring the fulfillment of life goals and meanings. The role of education and culture in forming the moral orientation of subjective well-being is revealed. It is concluded that genuine personality development is possible only with the integration of physical, mental and moral components of health.
The article is devoted to the problem of the correlation of pragmatic and altruistic orientations in the value priorities of adolescents. Pragmatism and altruism are revealed as value dominants, as well as their interrelation. The article includes a diagnostic study of the structure of value orientations and subjective perceptions of adolescents about pragmatism and altruism.
